Lower mount pressure gauges position the pressure connection at the bottom of the gauge, making them a common configuration for equipment where the pressure line approaches the instrument from below. These gauges are also frequently described as bottom mount pressure gauges.

Pressure range should be the first selection point. Choose a gauge with a range appropriate for the expected operating pressure, then confirm the dial size and pressure connection. A gauge with the correct PSI range but the wrong connection size or mounting orientation may not fit the existing equipment.
For installations exposed to vibration or pressure pulsation, a liquid-filled gauge can provide a steadier reading and additional protection for the internal movement. Standard dry gauges are available for applications where liquid filling is not required.
Lower mount and back mount pressure gauges use different connection locations, so mounting configuration should always be verified when replacing an existing gauge. Back mount gauges place the connection behind the dial, while lower mount gauges position it beneath the gauge body.
