Pin Eye Hydraulic Cylinders

Shop pin eye hydraulic cylinders in bore sizes from 2" through 4" for agricultural equipment, construction machinery, trailers, material-handling systems and custom hydraulic applications.

These welded, double-acting cylinders use a pin-hole rod end and welded cross-tube base mount, allowing the cylinder to pivot through the equipment linkage as it extends and retracts.

Rod and mounting-pin dimensions vary by bore size, so select the cylinder family first and then confirm the dimensions of the specific stroke required for your application.

Welded Double-Acting Pin Eye Cylinders

The cylinders in this collection use welded construction, SAE 8 hydraulic ports and hard-chrome-plated rods. They are rated for operating pressures up to 3,500 PSI.

The rod end uses a pin hole while the base of the cylinder uses a welded cross tube. This configuration is commonly used where the cylinder must pivot with the machinery or linkage during operation.

Choosing the Correct Pin Eye Cylinder

Start by matching the bore and stroke of the cylinder being replaced. Then verify the rod diameter, pin diameter, cross-tube width, hydraulic port size, retracted length and extended length.

Do not assume that two cylinders with the same bore and stroke are interchangeable. Mounting geometry, pin dimensions and overall length can vary between cylinder designs.

Longer-stroke cylinders can also have lower allowable column loads than shorter cylinders in the same bore family, making the operating requirements of the application an important part of cylinder selection.
