Log Splitter Hydraulic Cylinders

LOGSPLITTER CYLINDERS - GetHydraulics

Shop log splitter hydraulic cylinders from Magister Hydraulics in 4", 4.5" and 5" bore sizes with 24" and 30" stroke options. These welded, double-acting cylinders are designed specifically for wood-splitting applications and are rated for operating pressures up to 3,500 PSI.

Each cylinder uses a welded clevis mount at the base, a drilled pin-hole rod end and 1/2" NPT hydraulic ports. Available configurations range from a 4" bore cylinder for standard splitter applications through 5" bore models where greater piston area and splitting force are required.

Choosing a Log Splitter Cylinder

Bore size directly affects the amount of force the cylinder can generate at a given hydraulic pressure, while stroke determines how far the ram travels. A larger bore can produce greater splitting force, but it also requires more hydraulic oil per stroke and may reduce cycle speed when used with the same pump flow.

For replacement applications, do not rely only on advertised splitter tonnage. Compare the existing cylinder's bore, stroke, retracted length, extended length, rod diameter, base pin size, rod-end pin size and port size before ordering.

24" and 30" Stroke Options

The available cylinders include 24" and 30" stroke configurations with bore sizes from 4" through 5". All models are double acting, providing hydraulic power during both extension and retraction.
