Snow Plow Cylinders by Brand

Current brand-specific replacement cylinders include:

  • Western — W-SP-1506-0750, W-SP-1508-0750 and W-SP-1510-1000
  • Meyer — M-SP-1506-0625, M-SP-1510-0625 and M-SP-1512-0625
  • Fisher — F-SP-1510-1000

Use the existing cylinder part number whenever possible when selecting one of these replacements. Similar snow plow cylinders can use different pin sizes, mounting dimensions and retracted lengths even when their general appearance is nearly identical.

Magister Snow Plow Hydraulic Cylinders

We also carry configurable Magister snow plow cylinders in 1.5" and 2" bore sizes. These welded, single-acting cylinders are designed for snow plow applications and are rated for operating pressures up to 2,500 PSI.

The 1.5" bore range includes 6", 8", 10" and 12" stroke configurations for Western, Meyer and Fisher/Diamond-style applications. Pin sizes vary by configuration.

The 2" bore range includes 10" and 16" stroke options for Western, Fisher and Western/Diamond-style applications.

Choosing the Correct Snow Plow Cylinder

Do not select a snow plow cylinder using bore and stroke alone. Start with the original part number or plow application whenever possible, then compare the physical dimensions of the cylinder being replaced.

Important measurements include:

  • Stroke length
  • Rod and cylinder diameter
  • Pin-hole diameter
  • Retracted pin-to-pin length
  • Extended length
  • Mounting-end width
  • Hydraulic port size and location

A difference in pin diameter or retracted length can prevent an otherwise similar cylinder from fitting correctly.

Western, Meyer and Fisher Replacement Cylinders

For brand-specific replacements, match the W-SP, M-SP or F-SP reference on the product page whenever possible. If the original number cannot be confirmed, compare the existing cylinder measurements before ordering.
