Pressure Gauge Syphons

995216 Midland steel 270 degree pressure gauge syphon, 1/4 inch MIP

Pressure gauge syphons are installed between a pressure source and the gauge or other pressure instrument to help reduce direct exposure to hot process media. They are commonly used in steam and other high-temperature pressure-monitoring applications where protecting the instrument connection is important.

This collection includes Midland pressure gauge syphons in both brass and steel configurations. Available models use a 1/4-inch connection and include 90-degree, 180-degree, 270-degree, and 360-degree designs to accommodate different piping layouts and gauge positions.

When selecting a pressure gauge syphon, confirm the connection size, material, and physical configuration required by the installation. Bend style affects how the gauge is positioned relative to the pressure source, so a 90-degree syphon, 270-degree syphon, and full-loop 360-degree syphon should not be treated as interchangeable solely because they share the same connection size.

For replacement applications, matching the existing syphon configuration is usually the best starting point. Available brass and steel options provide different construction choices while the various bend configurations help accommodate equipment clearance and piping orientation.
