Shop swing check valves for industrial piping and fluid-control systems where automatic prevention of reverse flow is required. This collection includes Midland Industries swing check valves in ductile iron, brass, bronze, and stainless steel, with threaded and flanged connection options across a wide range of sizes.
Swing Check Valves for Backflow Prevention
Swing check valves allow fluid to move in one direction while automatically closing when flow reverses. The internal disc swings away from the flow path during normal operation and returns toward the seat when flow stops or reverses, helping protect pumps, piping, and other system components from backflow.
Threaded and Flanged Swing Check Valves
Available configurations include compact threaded swing check valves for smaller piping systems as well as larger flanged ductile-iron valves for industrial installations. Selected models are also available with external lever-and-weight configurations.
Body materials include brass, bronze, ductile iron, and 316 stainless steel depending on size and application. Connection styles include FPT, FNPT, copper connections, and flanged designs.
Choosing the Right Swing Check Valve
Before ordering, verify the nominal valve size, connection type, body material, pressure rating, operating temperature, and installation requirements. Check valves should also be installed in the correct flow direction and orientation specified for the individual valve.
