These Magister welded, double-acting tang hydraulic cylinders use a narrow-tube rod end and welded tang base mount for hydraulic applications where compact mounting geometry is important. The 1.5" bore family is available in multiple stroke lengths for agricultural, construction, material-handling, transportation and other mobile equipment.

Selecting the Correct Tang Cylinder

Match the bore and stroke first, then verify the rod diameter, pin diameter, mounting-end width, hydraulic port size, retracted length and extended length for the selected SKU. Cylinders with the same bore and stroke are not automatically interchangeable if their mounting geometry differs.

Tang cylinders are useful where the mounting end must fit into a relatively narrow frame or linkage. Longer-stroke cylinders can also have lower allowable column loads than shorter cylinders in the same bore family, so review the operating requirements of the application before selecting a replacement.
