3.5" Bore Cross Tube Hydraulic Cylinders

The 3.5-inch bore cross tube series is aimed at applications where higher extension force is needed without stepping into the largest cylinder sizes. BMF Hydraulics offers this bore with stroke choices from 4 through 36 inches for mobile-equipment and industrial linkage applications.

Cross Tube Cylinder Construction

• Mounting: Welded cross-tube end mounts
• Operating Pressure: Up to 3,500 PSI
• Tube: High-tensile honed cold-drawn steel
• Rod: Ground and polished hard-chrome-plated steel
• Sealing: Five-component compact sealing system with polyurethane rod seal and wiper

Typical uses include loader mechanisms, agricultural attachments, earthmoving equipment, forestry machinery and fabricated systems where the cylinder must swing on cross-tube pins as it extends and retracts. The welded body and end mounts are designed around that style of service.

Choosing the Correct Cylinder

When replacing an existing 3.5-inch bore cylinder, confirm more than the bore and stroke. Pin location, mounting width, rod diameter, port orientation and the center-to-center dimensions can determine whether the cylinder will install without modifying the machine.
