Three-inch bore cylinders are commonly used on heavier attachments, loaders, agricultural machines, earthmoving equipment and purpose-built hydraulic systems. The cross-tube mounting arrangement allows the cylinder to pivot with the linkage instead of requiring a rigid flange or foot mount.

Choosing the Correct Cylinder

A larger bore increases extension force at a given hydraulic pressure, but the correct replacement still depends on the complete geometry. Verify stroke, rod size, mounting-pin diameter, port size and retracted/extended center distances before placing the cylinder into service.
