2" Bore Cross Tube Hydraulic Cylinders

A 2-inch bore cross tube cylinder gives mobile-equipment designers and repair shops a useful balance between compact dimensions and available hydraulic force. This BMF Hydraulics series uses welded cross-tube end mounts and is offered in a broad range of stroke lengths for replacement and new-build applications.

Cross Tube Cylinder Construction

• Action: Double acting
• Mounting: Welded cross-tube end mounts
• Operating Pressure: Up to 3,500 PSI
• Tube: High-tensile honed cold-drawn steel
• Rod: Ground and polished hard-chrome-plated steel
• Sealing: Five-component compact sealing system with polyurethane rod seal and wiper

The size is well suited to attachment circuits, compact loaders, agricultural implements, material-handling equipment and fabricated machinery where a pin-mounted double-acting cylinder is required. At the same system pressure, the 2-inch bore develops more extension force than the 1.5-inch series without moving into a large cylinder envelope.

Choosing the Correct Cylinder

Match the selected stroke to the required travel and verify the mounting centers in both the retracted and extended positions. Also compare the existing rod diameter, pin diameter and hydraulic port size when replacing an installed cylinder.
