Choosing the Right Hydraulic Cylinder
When replacing a hydraulic cylinder, start by confirming the bore, stroke, rod diameter, mounting style and operating pressure of the existing cylinder. For equipment-specific replacements, the OEM part number and equipment model are often the fastest way to identify the correct cylinder.
The bore determines the amount of force the cylinder can generate, while the stroke determines how far the rod extends. Mounting configuration, port location and retracted or extended length may also be important depending on the application.
Use the filters to narrow the available cylinders by bore, stroke, manufacturer or replacement application.
