Check Valves for One-Way Flow Control
Check valves operate automatically in response to system pressure. Forward pressure opens the valve to allow flow through the system, while reverse pressure moves the valve toward the closed position to help prevent backflow. Choosing the Right Check Valve
Start by confirming the maximum system pressure, required flow rate, nominal size, inlet and outlet connection types, body material, seal compatibility, operating temperature, and intended fluid. Depending on the application, cracking pressure may also be an important selection factor because it determines the upstream pressure required before the valve begins to open.
